Volunteer Day: Plant a Floating Wetland

The LaPorte County Soil and Water Conservation District welcomes volunteers to plant a floating wetland to be installed at Kiwanis-Teledyne Park. The native plant plugs fill an artificial floating wetland/island to benefit water quality and provide wildlife habitat in and around Pine Lake. Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, October 22, at Kiwanis-Teledyne Park. For more information, contact the Soil and Water Conservation District by Facebook Messenger.
